Fees
I am able to provide sessions privately under a fee for service arrangement. The standard fee for a 50 minute consultation is $260.
Note: the Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $311. You can read more about this here: https://psychology.org.au/
Referrals
Self-referrals and referrals from health professionals are welcome.
Medicare – referral, rebate
Clinical Psychology fees may attract a significant Medicare rebate of $141.85 if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or specialist doctor. The APS website and Queensland Government website has more information about mental health care plans, if it’s for you and how to get one.
Health Fund Rebate
Clinical Psychology fees may attract a rebate under extras cover if you hold private health. Contact your provider to enquire. Private health rebates can work alongside Medicare if you are accessing longer term/ongoing psychological treatment.
Telehealth
Sessions are available via telehealth (videoconferencing) to ensure improved access for people seeking psychological support who may not be able to attend for face to face appointments.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your appointment or no longer wish to access services, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice, to avoid a cancellation fee.
By providing notice 48 hours or more before your appointment another person will be able to be offered a psychology session.
